Oprah Winfrey and J.K. Rowling top the Forbes 20 Richest Woman in Entertainment list. Why is this news cool and hip enough for HWB you ask? With great wealth comes great power and women with power ROCK!  I keep waiting on one of us to get enough power to change the two most blatantly unjust issues that face this country today; our standard maternity leave is offendingly short and the evil men that design shoes make them hurt our feet on purpose. Someone should do something about both of those issues. Hillary, Condi are you listening???

Is Dina Lohan just a cool mom and has daughter Lindsay Lohan’s back, or is she just delusional. I think we all know the answer to that. Dina told People magazine that her daughter is ‘absolutely fine’ and that, “This is a wonderful, giant step she’s taking and it’s all good. Hollywood’s a really, really busy scary place and everything is under control.” Dina goes on to say that she is proud that 20 year old Lindsay has made a mature decision and is strong enough to ‘not worry about what anyone’s going to say about her’. I don’t know what’s more disturbing, a middle aged/partied out Dina using the phrase ‘its all good’ over and over or the fact she really thinks Lindsay is mature and she is going to be okay in an outpatient program.

Kevin Federline is turning over a new leaf in 2007 starting with his self depricating Super Bowl ad where we will be seeing K-Fed go from rap star to fry cook. Kevin says although ‘his music’ will always be there but he will also be focusing on clothing deals, overseas ’stuff’ and public appearance. In other words he will be keepng his dirty little fingers in as many other money making pies as he can since his music career was a complete failure, just like his marriage.

Courtney Love has hand picked Ewan McGregor to play her dead husband Kurt Cobain in an upcoming movie about their relationship and about Kurt’s time in Nirvana. Courtney decided to take their story to the big screen after she acquired the rights to a biography about Kurt written by Charles Cross titled “Heavier Than Heaven”. Let’s hope the movie isn’t as cheesy at the title of that book.
